Frequently Asked Questions

Answers for buyers about running surveys with real respondents on Chorus Research.

What is Chorus Research?

Chorus Research is a self-service survey platform. You describe the study you want and AI drafts the survey and audience. You field it to real respondents from the web app, over MCP, or through the REST API, then read charts and AI-written findings as responses arrive, without hiring a traditional research vendor.

Who is Chorus for?

Founders, marketers, product teams and research teams who need data from real respondents. Developers and teams building AI agents can use the same workflow through the REST API and MCP server.

How do I run a survey from start to finish?

Create the survey, define your target audience, see the price, and launch. You pay when you launch, and fielding starts. Then collect responses and review the charts and AI-written findings.

User Guide

How do I find respondents for my survey?

You define the target audience when you set up the survey, and AI can draft it for you. Chorus then fields the survey to real, targeted respondents.

User Guide

How much does it cost?

Chorus is pay per survey, with no subscriptions. You choose your audience, see the price, and pay when you launch. For organizations with advanced needs, Enterprise offers dedicated account support, SSO integration, and custom billing and invoicing; contact sales.

Are the respondents real people?

Yes. Chorus fields surveys to real, targeted respondents, not synthetic or AI-generated answers.

Can I create and launch surveys through an API?

Yes. The REST API covers surveys, audiences, pricing and responses, so you can draft, target and launch studies from your own systems and pull responses and AI-written findings as JSON.

API Documentation

Can an AI agent run a survey with Chorus?

Yes. Chorus runs an MCP server that works with Claude and other MCP clients. Connect the hosted remote server at https://mcp.chorusresearch.io/mcp with OAuth, or run the @chorus-research/mcp npm package locally over stdio with an API key.

MCP Documentation

Does an MCP tool charge my card?

It depends on how you connect. The hosted remote MCP server (OAuth) never charges: its estimate returns a secure browser checkout link, and you pay on the Chorus website. The local stdio package (@chorus-research/mcp, API-key auth) uses an in-tool estimate and confirm step; confirming launches the survey and charges the saved payment method, the same way the public API does.

MCP Documentation

What if something goes wrong after I pay?

If a launch fails after payment, the API documentation describes an automatic refund. Refund requests for incomplete surveys are evaluated case by case under the Refund & Dispute Policy. Contact support@chorusresearch.io.
